Discover how true purpose begins with relationship, not activity. Learn from Mary, Martha, and Moses what it means to lead from God’s presence, clarify your calling, and walk in faith-filled purpose today.
Substack authors rightly deserve to be compensated for their time and the work they put into creating content. At the same time, when our goal is to build up the Kingdom together—encouraging one another, sharing insights, and fostering dialogue—it’s important to remember that participation and the sharing of ideas shouldn’t be limited only to those who pay.
Limiting full participation to paying members risks signaling that money matters more than building the Kingdom. True community grows when all are welcome to share, encourage, and learn. It really depends on your primary purpose: am I doing this for His glory, and can I not do it unless I am compensated?
Hi Dennis, Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I should clarify: the area I’m referring to is the Substack Chat, not the comment section where everyone can freely join in and participate. All my weekly articles are entirely free, and I’ll keep it that way. The premium option is simply for those who want to go deeper. Even Jesus had people who supported His ministry, and Paul thanked churches for partnering with him. The gospel itself has always been free, and always will be.
Thank you
I love that you said "authentic leadership is birthed out of a relationship with God." We fail every time we attempt to lead on our own.
Amen, Cathy!
Every single time we try to run on our own strength, we end up empty-handed.
