The Bible encourages us to be bold. The call to boldness applies to every part of our lives. Proverbs 28:1 tells us that righteousness is linked to living without fear. 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us that God gives a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind, not fear. Joshua 1:9 also urged Joshua to be strong and bold, assuring him that God was with him.

The difficulty is that we are living in a culture of an opposing religion, which has infiltrated our institutions including churches. We must find ways to defeat this while not demonizing our brothers and sisters in Christ. Thank you for a thoughtful and discussion provoking piece.

I would agree with you. It seems that when an idea or argument loses its substance under scrutiny, there's a propensity to lash out instead of approaching with resolve and grace towards those who disagree, and that's something we cannot afford to do.

Hmmm. I don’t think I understand your reply. My comment needs clarification.

Thank you for this flagging up this balanced approach. It is very helpful amid all the noise that often forgets to combine truth with love and grace.
