A lady in our church service this morning testified that her estranged son of 25 years (whom she has been praying for for 25 years!) has come into contact with her again this year. They started writing letters and on May 18th had their first conversation in 25 years. Her son has started calling her “Mom” again and she feels love from him and is excited about what the future holds for their family!
Our founding pastor’s wife prayed for her father’s salvation for 54 years. He came to faith in Christ several months before his death last year.
Sometimes we can act so pathetic because God doesn’t answer us according to our immediate timelines.
If there was an update/rewrite for Hebrews 11 so many people today would never qualify for even an honorable mention.
“I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?”

I've had seasons where I've prayed the same prayers over and over, wondering if God was listening or if I was simply waiting for something that would never come. Looking back, I can see there were times He was doing a deeper work in me before changing my circumstances, even though I couldn't see it then.
I especially appreciated your point that silence isn't abandonment. That's something many of us need to hear because waiting can easily be mistaken for God's absence. Thank you for taking the time to write this and encourage those of us who are still in the waiting. It was a blessing to read.
